Why do so many people choose the OBX every summer? Well, there are a plethora of reasons why!

Award-Winning Beaches
There are 50+ miles of wide-open beaches ready for you to enjoy. Private beaches are not a thing on the Outer Banks – anyone can set up an umbrella and beach chair at any spot on the beach.

There are few public beach accesses in Corolla, Duck, and Southern Shores; however, the beaches there are still open to whomever.

Numerous Excellent Restaurants
Whether you’re a fan of fish, oysters, shrimp or burgers, hot dogs, and chicken – there is something on the Outer Banks for everyone’s pallet.

Foodies will not struggle to find a restaurant to dine at. Some of our favorites include Kill Devil Grill, Fish Heads Bar & Grill, and The Black Pelican.

Fantastic Lodging Options
From oceanfront estates to modest sound front bungalows, there is no shortage of lodging options for vacationers of the OBX. Condos and hotels can be booked in addition to homes if you can’t commit to a week-long stay on the barrier islands.

If you can stay from Saturday to Saturday, rental homes are the most cost-saving option. Check out this post we put together on how to save money on an Outer Banks vacation.

See you soon!
