Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant in Nags Head, NC
Located on the soundfront in Nags Head around milepost 16 sits Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant, a family owned and operated establishment that has been in the Miller family since 1982.
Eddie and Lou Miller vacationed on the Outer Banks with their families for years, and actually met and married on the barrier island in 1968.
The couple has called the area home since 1978, and the two have raised their three children, Brian, Whitney and Alexandra on the Outer Banks – all three now work together in the family business.
Eddie and Lou’s middle child, Whitney, married Bryan Wilson in 2000 and the two currently manage Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant.
Bryan spends most of his time in the kitchen, while Whitney can usually be found in the dining room catering to guests needs.
Delicious food, amazing waterfront views and excellent service are what Miller’s is known for.
Like most restaurants on the Outer Banks, the attire at Miller’s is casual. Shorts and a t-shirt is totally acceptable.
Reservations are not accepted, and if you are planning on dining for lunch or dinner during the summer months, consider doing an early lunch or dinner to beat the crowds.
The food and service here is spot on and as a result, the restaurant is really busy during June, July and August.
Serving lunch and dinner with a view of the water from just about every seat in the dining room!
Choose from steamed seafood, backyard burgers, Southern fried baskets, sandwiches and signature lunch and dinner entrees. They have daily specials that are always both creative and delicious.
Miller’s has a full bar and wine list, along with seasonal beers on tap and big flat screen TVs in the bar area.
As of 2016, there is now an open-air steamer bar located upstairs that overlooks the scenic Roanoke Sound. Enjoy cool breezes paired with a refreshing cocktail!
